- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪While I am an advocate for rescuing dogs and cats, I also support reputable breeders and there is NO reputable breeder I know of that would sell their litters through a pet store. Steve's claims that their pets come from "local breeders" but refuses to disclose any specifics (I know several people who have asked directly). These situations could definitely be along the lines of a puppy (or kitty) mill. Maybe someday they'll join the multitudes of other pet stores that no longer sell dogs and cats and instead partner with local humane societies and rescues to help get animals adopted.January 13, 2017by Larissa Pyer
